Using the app
Alarm Challenge is an alarm clock that asks you to complete one or more short missions before the alarm stops. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Alarm reliability
The app schedules alarms using the mechanisms iOS provides. Alarms depend on your device being switched on, having charge, and on the permissions you have granted. Please do not rely on this app alone for anything where missing a wake-up would be genuinely serious.
Emergency stop
Every mission can be ended with the emergency stop control. Use it whenever completing a mission would be unsafe or impractical. Stopping this way is recorded as an incomplete morning and nothing more.
Photo missions
Photo verification is a convenience feature, not a security measure. It can occasionally accept or reject a photo you would judge differently. It is not designed to be tamper-proof.
Health claims
The app makes no medical, sleep or health claims. It is a behavioural nudge, not a treatment for anything.
Free and paid
2 alarms, the Object Hunt mission and the First Light tone are free for as long as you use the app, with no trial clock on them. Plus unlocks every mission, every tone, mission chains, the wake-up check and unlimited alarms.
Plus subscriptions
Plus is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-off Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your own currency on the purchase screen before you buy, and payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Automatic renewal
Weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Lifetime is a one-off purchase and never renews.
Free trials
Where a free trial is offered, its length and the price that follows are stated on the purchase screen before you buy. A trial is offered once per Apple Account per subscription group. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you subscribe before it ends.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or from Manage subscription inside this app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds and price changes
Purchases are made from Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple rather than by the developer — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a subscription price changes, Apple will ask for your consent before charging the new price, and the subscription will not renew at the higher price without it.
Restoring
If you reinstall the app or use a new device, tap Restore purchases on the paywall or in Settings while signed in to the Apple Account that bought Plus. There is no account to sign into in this app, so entitlement follows your Apple Account and nothing else.
Your content
Photographs taken during a mission are processed on your device and discarded. You keep any rights you have in them; the developer never receives them.
Availability
The app is provided as-is. Features may change between versions, and support for older iOS releases may end.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for missed wake-ups, missed appointments, or other consequences of using or being unable to use the app.
